Chandra Thompson has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2004, bringing over two decades of experience, artistry, and genuine connection to every guest who sits in her chair. Now building her clientele at The Hairapist in the Sashmill, Chandra is known for creating effortlessly beautiful, personalized looks that align with each client’s lifestyle and goals.

She specializes in grey blending, advanced blonding techniques-including balayage, lived in color, and dimensional blonding- as well as precision haircuts for both men and women. With certification across multiple color lines, smoothing treatments, and extensions, Chandra offers a well-rounded, expert approach to modern hair design. She also has a strong confidence in special event styling, helping clients feel polished and radiant for life’s important moments.

More than anything, Chandra loves people. Her chair is a space where clients feel seen, heard, and cared for, and she is deeply committed to helping each person achieve their hair goals with honesty and skill.

Newly rooted full time in Santa Cruz. Chandra is enjoying life on the coast with her supportive husband, their daughter and son, and their beloved dog. As a family they love exploring the beauty of the redwoods and the ocean-embracing everything this vibrant community has to offer.
